Yogiraj Gurunath Siddhanath is the living Himalayan master from whom the Hamsa Info lineage flows. Born in Gwalior, India, on 10 May 1944, into the ancient royal Ikshvaku–Rama family of the Solar Dynasty, it is said that he attained spiritual illumination at the age of three. As a young man he trained in the Himalayas under the great Nath Yogis and was blessed and empowered by the masters of the Himalayan caves, including the deathless Shiv-Goraksha Babaji.

The Nath Lineage

The Kriya that Gurunath teaches flows through the Nath Sampradaya — a timeless lineage of yogic masters connected, the tradition holds, with infinite consciousness through the ever-living Shiv-Goraksha Babaji (Gorakshanath). In the Nath telling, the science descends from Adi Nath — Lord Shiva himself — and was guarded across the ages by the kings of the Solar Dynasty before being preserved and handed down by the deathless Babaji.

Importantly, Gurunath does not belong to any particular Nath sub-sect or branch organisation. He teaches alone, by the direct blessing and presence of Shiv-Goraksha Babaji — carrying both the Nath and the Kriya streams in a tradition and teaching of his own.

Kundalini Kriya Yoga

Gurunath’s Kundalini Kriya Yoga is a sister stream from the same source as the Lahiri Mahasaya lineage, with its own distinct emphasis:

• The awakening of Kundalini Shakti — raising the dormant spiritual energy through the spine
• The Prana-Apana “double action” — a twofold inner fire-offering that expands soul-consciousness while burning the seeds of past karma
• Living transmission — the practice is enlivened by direct energy empowerment (shaktipat) from the living master
• Hamsa Yoga — the Way of the White Swan
• Earth Peace through Self Peace — the whole work framed as a mission of planetary peace that begins with peace within

Hamsa Yoga — The Way of the White Swan

At the heart of Gurunath’s teaching is Hamsa Yoga, “the Way of the White Swan.” The hamsa is the swan of the soul, and also the natural mantra of the breath — So’ham, “I am That.” Gurunath points to a striking image within the human brain: the lateral ventricles are shaped like a swan in flight. As the awakened Kundalini rises and the two petals of the Ajna (third-eye) chakra open, the yogi comes to experience Hamsa Consciousness — the sense of being breathed by the divine Indweller. This is the very swan in the Hamsa Info emblem.

Earth Peace through Self Peace

Gurunath’s whole mission is gathered in a single phrase: Earth Peace through Self Peace. As each soul finds the stillness within, that peace radiates outward into the world. Individual transformation becomes collective transformation. The yogi who finds peace within becomes a beacon of peace without.
