The Race Against Time: Dissolving the Mind Before the Body Fades
There is only one true purpose of human birth: to realise the Divine before the body falls away.
The Race Against Time: Dissolving the Mind Before the Body Fades
Before the joints creak and the body—like a well-used vehicle—begins to rust with time, the mind must already have dissolved into its Source. This is the great race against time. Not a race of ambition, but a race of awakening.
The body is subject to wear and tear. But the tragedy is not that the body ages—it is that the mind remains undissolved.
A restless, dual mind is the root of all complexity, conflict, and suffering. It lives in constant division: pleasure and pain, gain and loss, praise and blame. As long as the mind remains active in duality, Truth appears distant.
Yet the Master reminds us:
You do not have to believe in God.
You are God.
The problem is not the absence of Divinity.
The problem is the turbulence of mind.
The Gentle Abrasion of the Breath
There is a sacred and simple process: the purification of the mind through breath.
Like a river polishing stones smooth over time, rhythmic, conscious breathing gradually rounds off the sharp edges of personality. The breath gently abrades the mind:
-
It smoothens agitation.
-
It flattens restlessness.
-
It thins ego.
-
It makes the mind subtle.
With long, faithful practice, the mind becomes smaller and thinner—until it disappears.
When the mind disappears, You appear.
The Master gives an ancient analogy:
-
Rub the tinder — fire appears.
-
Press the seed — oil appears.
-
Breathe with awareness — God appears.
It is that simple.
The Layers of the Mind
The yogic tradition explains that the mind is not one flat surface, but layered:
-
Vrittis – surface-level random thoughts, dissolved through breath and concentration.
-
Prapanchic thought-forms – deeper mental images and impressions, dissolved in meditation and early samadhi.
-
Samskaras – subtle impressions carried from past experiences and even past lives, dissolved in superconscious states.
Through dedicated practice of Kriya Yoga and meditation, the practitioner moves progressively:
-
From calming thoughts
-
To dissolving thought-forms
-
To transcending karmic impressions
-
To entering seedless samadhi — a state of thought-free awareness
This is the state of pure Consciousness.
The yogis call it Nirvikalpa Samadhi — the state beyond all mental modifications.
The Role of Grace
While effort purifies the surface mind, the deepest impressions are dissolved through grace. The Guru does not merely inform — he transforms.
Teachers inform.
Masters transform.
Transmission happens beyond words. Words are a vehicle, not the destination. The Master’s presence, vibration, and state of consciousness silently lift the receptive soul beyond mind.
When Consciousness is separated from mind, the mind starves. With nothing to feed on, it dissolves.
Then the soul is free to fly — the way of the White Swan (Hamsa).
The White Swan and the Purple Star
The meditation described in this discourse is not symbolic poetry — it is inner reality.
You are the White Swan in the temple of the body.
You are the Purple Star rising through the third eye.
You are the soul ascending beyond the body, beyond mind, beyond even form.
The swan spreads its wings across eternity.
The purple star flies beyond the moon and sun.
The golden radiance of the central spiritual sun is entered.
Then even form dissolves.
There remains only vastness.
Only boundless peace.
Only the spirit of Absolute Nothingness — which is the fullness of the Lord.
This is the state of Shaath — thought-free enlightened awareness.
Beyond Philosophy
All philosophies are merely mental play until consciousness rises in the central channel. The Master reminds us that talk is secondary. Transmission is primary.
You can sit in front of a true Master and be transformed without a single word spoken.
Why?
Because Truth is vibrational, not intellectual.
The Alchemy of Daily Practice
The path is not complicated.
-
Breathe with awareness.
-
Practice daily.
-
Remain disciplined.
-
Seek sincerely.
Before the body rusts, dissolve the mind.
Before death comes, awaken.
You are not the mind.
You are not the body.
You are the boundless, eternal Consciousness temporarily wearing them.
Remove the hands of the mind from the eyes of the soul — and behold your own divinity.
The race is not against others.
It is against unconsciousness.
And the victory is inevitable for the one who practices with sincerity and grace.
